Whitburn Point Local Nature Reserve

This forms the boundary at the southernmost point of the property, consisting of two relatively new ponds, a very well established phragmites reed bed, and large areas of rank grassland (soon to be grazed by highland cattle). RSPB Red listed bird species such as Tree Sparrow; Grey Partridge & Yellowhammer are present in small numbers and have all been observed from one of the purpose built viewing screens. Access to the nature reserve is limited, with disturbance at all times kept to an absolute minimum.
